Ward Well Water Company is a Small Community Water System, owned by the Members, who are each of the 226 homeowners who have a connection to the water system, which serves the Pineland subdivision. Each Member has one vote at the annual Membership Meeting the first Saturday after July 4th. (In other words, you, the members, own the water company.)
We have a Water Manager (Rick Santina) and a Water Master (Mickey Wender). The two share duties, but mostly the manager handles planning and finance and the master handles day-to-day operations. Mickey and Rick both live in the neighborhood and are each shareholders.
We have a volunteer Board of Directors with 5 members, elected by Shareholders at the July Shareholders Meeting. The present board is Kathy Bradley, Vince Bruno, Dan Cross, Kevin Fenley and Rick Santina. Danielle Mueller serves as our non-voting Treasurer.
We have 3 wells, one at the bottom of the neighborhood, one near the middle and one at the top. They are in great shape and can pump a total of 225 gallons per minute. They were drilled in 1945, 1952 and 1961.
We have a 200,000 gallon steel tank at the top of the neighborhood which was built in 2002.
We do not meter individual connections but we do meter the amount of water we pump from the wells, which totaled 18.7 million gallons in 2025 and 15.3 million gallons in 2024.
